Ricardo del Pino is a Systems Engineer specialized in the European Space Sector. Since 2015 he has been working at the European Agency for the Exploitation of Meteorological Satellite (EUMETSAT), where he has contributed in the engineering area of international missions in operational phase, such as Meteosat, EPS (Eumetsat Polar System) or Sentinel-3 of the European Union’s Copernicus programme, a mission in which he currently leads the Ground Segment System Engineering team.

Previously, he participated in the definition phases of Spanish industry’s earth observation missions such as SeoSat/Ingenio, where he contributed as Principal System Engineer.

In addition to his contributions to the international aerospace sector, Ricardo del Pino is credited with the design and development of Spanish High Speed Rail Traffic Control Centres, developing the critical components of automatic train routing and planning, as well as the adaptation and integration with conventional gauge systems.

Ricardo del Pino is a Telecommunications Engineer from the University of Malaga, with a double major (Communications and Electronics). He has received training in Systems Engineering from the renowned Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and belongs to the International Council of Systems Engineering (INCOSE) being endorsed as a Systems Engineering Professional by this international organisation with the CSEP recognition.
